Some chapters of our lives aren’t meant to be rushed through. They’re meant to be written through.
There are seasons when life asks more of us than we know how to carry.
The demands of work. Family. Relationships. Motherhood. Illness. Expectations. Change.
We keep moving because we have to.
But somewhere along the way, we stop checking in with the one person who has been with us through it all—ourselves.
Writing Through Life is an invitation to every woman to pause. Not to become a better writer. But to become a better listener to your own life.
This is an eight-week guided reflective writing journey where you’ll explore your thoughts, emotions, memories, relationships, dreams, and identity through gentle writing practices and personal conversations.
You don’t need to be a writer or have beautiful words. You simply need a willingness to begin.
✨ Registrations are now open.

Meet Your Guide

Hi, I’m Seethalakshmi (aka) Preethi.
For more than a decade, writing has been the way I’ve made sense of my life.
I began as a mathematics educator before life took an unexpected turn. Living with an autoimmune condition changed the way I understood success, identity, and resilience. During those years, writing became more than a creative practice; it became the place where I questioned, grieved, healed, and slowly rebuilt.
Over the years, my poems, essays, and reflections have been published across literary magazines and featured in newspapers. I founded Promising Poetry, a space dedicated to reading, writing, and sharing poetry in meaningful ways.
Again and again, I noticed something unexpected.
People came to me not only for my writing, but because they felt heard. That is the spirit in which this program is offered.
I am not here to tell you what your story means. I am here to walk beside you as you discover it for yourself.
A Gentle Disclaimer
Writing Through Life is a reflective writing programme.
It is not therapy or counselling and is not intended to replace professional mental health support.
While writing can be deeply healing, this programme offers reflection, not diagnosis or treatment.
Everything you choose to share will be treated with respect and confidentiality.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need writing experience?
Not at all. This journey welcomes beginners and experienced writers alike.
Is it live?
No. The course is conducted entirely through weekly emails, allowing you to write at your own pace.
How much time will it take?
Around 60–90 minutes a week, though you are welcome to spend longer if you wish.
Will my writing remain private?
Yes. Everything you share is read only by me and remains confidential.
What if I miss a week?
Life happens. You’ll have the flexibility to catch up when you’re ready.
Why This Journey Is Different
Every woman arrives with a different story.
Some are finding their identity. Some are navigating motherhood. Others are grieving. Some are rebuilding after illness, rediscovering themselves after years of caring for everyone else, or simply longing to reconnect with the woman they’ve quietly become.
While the weekly themes remain the same, no two journeys through this programme will ever be identical.
Your reflections shape the conversations we have. Your writing shapes the questions I ask. Your experiences shape the prompts I may gently suggest along the way.
As I read your weekly submissions, I pay attention to the patterns, recurring emotions, unanswered questions, and quiet strengths that emerge through your words. My responses are thoughtfully written to honour your pace, your story, and your season of life.
Rather than offering generic feedback, I hope to create a space where you feel deeply seen, heard, and encouraged to continue exploring.
In many ways, this programme unfolds differently for every woman who joins it. That is what makes it personal. And that is what makes it unique.
Why Only 15 Women?
Writing Through Life is intentionally designed as an intimate journey rather than a large online course.
Every participant receives my personal attention, careful reading, and thoughtful email responses each week. That level of presence simply isn’t possible with hundreds of participants.
To honour the time, care, and reflection each woman deserves, I will be welcoming only 15 women into the first cohort.
I would much rather walk deeply with fifteen women than rush through conversations with a hundred.
Quality of connection will always matter more to me than numbers.
There’s No Rush
If this isn’t the right season for you, that’s perfectly okay. Writing asks us to arrive with honesty, not urgency.
This course will return in future cohorts, and I’d much rather you join when you have the emotional space to truly receive the experience than feel pressured to enrol because registrations are open.
When you’re ready, this journey will be here. You just need to write to me at promisingpoetry5@gmail.com. And I’ll be honoured to walk beside you.
